Grade 5 Titanium — High Strength, Low Weight
S-PARTS works with a specialized metal-material supply chain serving the aerospace and advanced manufacturing industries in Xi'an. Through long-term laboratory comparison and verification, we carefully select Grade 5 titanium (Ti-6Al-4V) according to S-PARTS material standards.
The titanium material achieves an average tensile strength exceeding 1050 MPa, significantly above the >895 MPa industry benchmark used for comparison.
Under comparable conditions, S-PARTS titanium hardware delivers mechanical performance comparable to 10.9-grade steel hardware, while weighing approximately half as much as steel.
The result is an exceptional strength-to-weight ratio for riders looking to reduce hardware weight without sacrificing mechanical performance.
Precision Manufacturing
The hardware combines precision hot forging and CNC machining for consistent dimensions and reliable fit.
Bolt heads are formed using S-PARTS custom forging dies at approximately 650°C. To maintain forming consistency, each die is used for no more than 300 cycles.
The fastener bodies are precision-machined using industrial CNC equipment, with a micron-level dimensional control system for accurate threads and consistent component fit.
Titanium Surface Finishes
The currently available finishes are Gold, Black, Blue, and Green.
Gold, Black & Blue — PVD Vacuum Nitriding
PVD vacuum nitriding creates a dense surface layer that improves hardness and resistance to wear and impact while producing a durable metallic finish.
Green — Titanium Anodizing
Titanium anodizing forms a controlled oxide layer on the surface, improving corrosion resistance while creating color through light interference rather than conventional dyes.
Lightweight Drivetrain Upgrade
At only 29.8g per complete 18-piece set, this hardware kit provides a practical way to replace selected steel components with lightweight titanium alternatives.
The combination of Grade 5 titanium, precision manufacturing, controlled tolerances, and premium surface finishing brings together weight reduction, durability, and a distinctive performance-oriented appearance.
Installation & Torque Warning
Always follow the original component manufacturer's specified torque values when installing titanium hardware.
Use a calibrated torque wrench and the correct installation tools. Do not assume that the torque specification for the original steel hardware can be changed or increased for titanium hardware.
For drivetrain components, improper installation or torque can cause fastener damage, loosening, or component failure.
If you are unsure about installation or torque specifications, professional installation is recommended.
